What is the OLA Consumer Hotline?

The OLA Consumer Hotline at 1-866-299-7585 is a resource for consumers of online loan products. The goal of the OLA Consumer Hotline is to provide a place for consumers to report fraudulent calls and to speak to live operators who can assist in navigating the online lending landscape.

Why Should I use the Hotline?

Two Reasons:

  1. Get help on your online lending concerns.
  2. Report fraudulent telephone calls you receive from phony debt collectors.

The Hotline was set up on behalf of OLA members who follow industry best practices to ensure consumers get best online short-term loan products and services. OLA members never make threatening phone calls to collect debt, and OLA does not tolerate this behavior tarnishing our respectable industry. What do I need to do before calling?

Report Fraud:

  1. Ask the debt collector to provide official documentation or information that verifies the debt, including the amounts owed and the dates of the transaction.
  2. Record the caller’s contact information (caller ID, collector’s name, company name, company phone number).
  3. Call the Consumer Hotline at 1-866-299-7585 to report the incident. Do not call the number provided by the “scammers”.

Get Help With Your Loan:

  1. Be prepared to ask the Consumer Hotline representative questions pertaining to your online loan.
  2. Call the Consumer Hotline at 1-866-299-7585.
  3. The Hotline representative will listen to your concerns and answer or direct you to the best possible answer and solution to your concerns.  If a representative is not available, please leave a message and one will return your call.
